2019 Beyond Paper Tigers Trauma-Informed Care Conference on June 26 & 27, 2019 will revolve around the theme, "Building Resilience Across the Life Span," with Pre-Conference Trainings, Social/Networking event, and film screenings beginning on Tuesday June 25, 2019. 


BPT Trauma-Informed Care Conference Details

Conference begins Wednesday June 26, 2019 with registration at 7am, and sessions running 8:30am-4pm, and on Thursday June 27, 2019 sessions run 8:30am-2pm. 

Morning Mindfulness will be offered free of charge at 7:30am on both Wednesday and Thursday.

  • Screenings of Resilience, Paper Tigers and DNA is not Destiny films

Teri Barila is the co-founder and current CEO of the Community Resilience Initiative (CRI). She continues to develop community strategies for implementation of trauma-informed care with a community focus. Her innovative thinking and determination has been an intricate piece to the formation of a trauma-informed Walla Walla County.

Rick Griffin

Rick Griffin is a CRI Master Trainer

Rick Griffin is a CRI Master Trainer and experienced trainer in trauma-informed care and diversity. He has developed many effective and practical trauma-informed care strategies, which are used in various settings including schools, communities and workplaces nationally.  Rick currently travels nationally training organizations in the implementation of trauma-informed care strategies.
